A groundbreaking study from the University of Cambridge just changed how we understand brain development. Researchers scanned over 4,200 people from birth to age 90 and discovered something remarkable:

The human brain doesn’t mature once. It transforms five times, with major turning points at ages 9, 32, 66, and 83.

The most striking finding? Adolescence, neurobiologically speaking, extends from age 9 to age 32.
